In this work, we pretend to analyse the net migration of the population, which is at least in potential labour factor, between the Portuguese NUTs II and NUTs III, from 1996 to 2002 and in 2004, respectively. The option for these spatial unities and for these periods is because the availability of data. For that, it was considered, with some modifications (namely with the introduction of spatial autocorrelation factors), the equation of the net migratory built and estimated by Soukiazis to the OECD countries, for Portugal and to Greece. As main conclusions, of referring which the interior desertification is confirmed in favour of the Portuguese coast and which the labour mobility is influenced essentially by the real income, for the unemployment taxes and for the agricultural job. Of referring, still, which there is spatial autocorrelation among the net migratory of the Portuguese NUTs III, but no sufficiently strong to have an explanatory effect of the labour mobility evolution.
