Using data from the Health System Central Administration, this study aimed to analyze the economic and financial performance of corporatized hospitals, using ratios methodology (liquidity, operating, financing and profitability) in a regional perspective (NUTS II), concluding by the relative better performance of all hospitals in the North, though inconsistently over time. Overall, the results show, in different regions, trend loss of liquidity, financial autonomy and solvency, while reflecting a decrease in activity and results.
