One of the functions of public transport networks is to provide access to the population to urban facilities, including higher education institutions. This research aims to propose a method to measure the accessibility by public transportation for a large university campus, taking the Fundão campus of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) as a case study. The proposed method (which can be replicated in other campuses) combines the creation of an accessibility indicator calculated through georeferencing techniques with an online questionnaire designed for the university community. The results have showed that this method is capable of analyzing the compatibility of the transport supply with the current demand in the campus and performing other accessibility analyzes considering socioeconomic variables.
