Territorial Networks of Innovation in the Aveiro Region the Support Instruments of Innovation Agency (ADI)

Abstract

This investigation intends to understand the spatial translation of the innovation networks of the Aveiro Region, trying to identify the frame in which these networks operate and their different dimensions. A data base of the different instruments of support of the Agency of Innovation in the recent past (2000-2012) was made, considering the participants, fields of action and funding. Resorting to the methodology of the analysis of social networks and  the template NodeXL, a matrix of the relationships between the institutions was built, aiming the construction of graphs and the definition of a set of metrics and relations that allow us to understand the connections between the actors and the implications to the structure of the network.
