Estrutura, Composição e Configuração da Paisagem Conceitos e Princípios para a sua Quantificação no Âmbito da Ecologia da Paisagem

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to introduce and present the concepts and principles that allow the quantification of Landscape, both its compositions and configuration, under the framework of the Landscape Ecology paradigms. Thus, Landscape has a structure, with patches, corridors and a matrix as base elements, presenting change gradients and specific transformation processes. The Landscape metrics allow the quantification of Landscape structure, through spatial statistics and topological analysis.
