A robust approach for the infrastructural classification of railway stations in Tripura, India

A classificação das infraestruturas é um indicador de Apoio à Decisão (DMU) para que os provedores do serviço da infraestrutura melhorem o seu desempenho. Este trabalho pretende classificar as instalações infraestruturais das estações ferroviárias oferecidas aos passageiros em Tripura através de um indicador sintético alternativo ao existente. O estudo é baseado em dados primários e secundários. O indicador sintético existente também é aplicado e a utilização do indicador sintético generalizado é enquadrado de acordo com a natureza dos dados observados. O estudo revela que as estações são categorizadas em quatro classificações infraestruturais diferentes (muito boa, boa, ruim e muito ruim) devido à frequência de mobilidade de passageiros, proximidade de centros urbanos, localização de unidades industriais, uso do solo do interior e topografia ondulante do local . A interferência causal foi representada por meio da técnica geoespacial. ´É proposta uma recomendação política para fornecer uma melhor infraestrutura ferroviária para os passageiros.
